I went between both these places this day and can’t quite remember which pictures of what are from where. So, I’m grouping them together here.
There was a concert this weekend that my friends were attending so I had the next couple days to myself with no specific plans.
The first place I went for the day was the idolm@ster official store in Akiba. This series has hundreds of characters, so it’s pretty crazy to see merch for pretty much every single one here.
I also took a stroll (one of many) down the main streets of Akiba and paying my respects to the former SEGA building, now one of many GiGO locations.
I also was going through a lot of gachapon machines today. Trying to see what weird things you could get. These machines have a series of items in there and you get a random thing from that series. If it can be a lottery, in Japan, it is.
This is just a selection of some interesting ones I came across.
I did roll the first one and got what I have been referring to as “existential dread cat”.
Looked around a handful of arcades as well. There are always over the top machines here. Such as this one for piloting a mech suit or a horse racing betting game?
I also saw this… thing?
I genuinely have no idea what this was.
