After Ueno Park, I checked my maps and found from where I was, it was just as quick to walk to Akiba. 20 minutes later, I was back at a very familiar street.
Since I’d spent my previous trips looking at anime merch. I head over to Super Potato, a well-known retro video game store to see if I could find a rare PS1 game on their shelves. (I did not)
The 4th floor of the shop also had a few arcade machines, and a very sad looking statue of Snake from Metal Gear Solid.
(I am quite certain this statue has been exactly like this for many years)
I decided that was plenty of video games for the day and stopped by Astop. This is a store where people can rent a display box to sell secondhand items, generally figures, where the store takes a 15% commission for each sale. There are a LOT of boxes here, so the selection is pretty large. Though, a lot of the nice figures are not cheap…
