Since check-in at my hotel wasn’t until 4pm, I had some hours to kill. Thankfully they stored my luggage in the meantime. I made my way to yet another bus on its way to the Mishima SkyWalk.
This is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan, totalling ~400m (1/4 mile) in length. There are also ziplines you can take to about the halfway point and back, along with an “adventure course” built into the trees on the other side of the bridge.
Overall, it was a pretty stable bridge, getting a bit bouncy in the middle. Nothing too crazy.
You even got some (almost clear) views of Mt. Fuji.















But aside from the cool bridge was another thing I was looking forward to. There was a shop there that had many owls that you could get close to and pet.
There were so many of them from small to very large. I love owls so this was really a highlight for me.












Yes, I’m aware that one of the birds there is not an owl, it’s a kestrel.
