Heiwa no Torii & Hakone Shrine

I got up very early today, around 6:00am. There were a lot of places I was going to today before leaving for Osaka.

Sadly, when I got up, the hot water in the shower wasn’t working, so I had to hope that later the hot water would be on.

I took ~1 km walk to visit the very iconic Torii gate that peeks of out of Lake Ashi.

Most of the route was in this stone pathway, generally with alternating heights of the stones, made it a bit hard to walk on sometimes.

But about 10 minutes later I arrived at the gate.

Opposite of this gate is the staircase that lead to Hakone Shrine.

Since it was so early in the day, nothing at the shrine was open aside from the shrine itself. But that also meant it was easy to take nice pictures since no one was around.

Afterwards I walked a bit farther down the road and doubled back to my hotel to get checked out before my other adventures for the day. And thankfully, when I got back, the hot water was working.
