This was the day we were leaving Osaka to head back to Tokyo. But before that I got up early to head out to Kyoto and visit Toei Kyoto Studio Park.
It was a short walk from the station I ended up at and I even came across a small station that oddly had no gates. I’m wondering if the train itself had a payment system like the busses.
I arrived at the park right after they opened. This is great and horrible for the same reason, there wasn’t many people there yet. No crowds is great, but its another thing when the park is filled with enthusiastic staff trying to get you go to the thing they are at.
And I was only here for one reason. Life-sized Evangelion Unit-01.
While only part of the Eva is visible, it is the correct scale and is ~15 meters (~50ft) tall.
