In the morning, I learned that they had constructed some scaffolding around the building outside my room. Obscuring my view of the lovely water tower atop the cafe building. A shame.




Most of the stores we visited we found out were focused on a more female demographic. But there we still a few stores we that had what we were looking for. I don’t have any pictures of these since they honestly look just like any other character goods store. Charms, buttons, acrylic stands, books, etc.
I did, however, take a picture of this Siracha vending machine.


But the main reason that I wanted to go to Ikebukuro was the Evangelion Store.
This was a super cool thing to see as you come up the escalator. Especially with the life-sized Rei off to the side and a scale version of the Lance of Longinus (out of frame) from the series.
I got a few things here, but they are currently in a sealed bag for tax-free purposes.
